HR Questions Tell me about yourself. Lots of discussion about family early on. I had a story about how UPS impacted our family.
What do you know about UPS.
How are you going to feel about flying from the right seat for many years.
What would you tell a young person who wants to become a pilot.
Tell me what pilots who you fly with would say about you. The answer to that question resulted in questions about leadership style and also tell me a time you had to make a decision in the cockpit that involved conflict.
Any other apps in? FedEx is the only other one.
What is difference between us and FedEx.
How does your wife feel about UPS.
Tell me about the type of flying we do here.
Why did you go Part 91 after military. Why not the airlines.
What is your plan B if you do not get a job here?
What do you think are going to be your major challenges in coming here.
Discussion about fatigue.
Very conversational interview with back and forth.
Any questions.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? One month.
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? Emerald Coast. Yes.
Any additional information you would like to add. Sim portion was as advertised. My instructor was unemotional. Instructor wants to see you initiate the go around if you get unstabilized. Standard instrument departure which I over rotated. 30 and 45 AOB turns. ILS to missed. Fuel problem. Another ILS and land.
I used this service because I heard about it from talking to friends at FedEx which is my top choice if I am fortunate enough to get an interview. I used RST to review some navigation topics and chart review for the UPS sim and to prepare me for FedEx. I would like to continue to study on RST if that is possible in hopes that I do get a call from FedEx.
Is their anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process?
