How did you prepare for the JKT/COG portion of the interview? I solely used RST. did the flash cards and took all the quizzes. the practice Cog stuff is great because taking the real one was so much easier. the technical part was a bit harder because you really need to know conceptual knowledge. there is about 5000+ questions in their bank so you cant really just memorized answers.
Technical Test Questions There is a few weird ones that i remembered like: you are flying at FL370 and encounter volcanic ash a) reduce power and make a 180. b) add power and Climb. c) reduce power and descend. d) reduce power and continue on and advice ATC… something like that. a few CG effects on performance and load factor and indicated stall speed. a question on yaw damper inop and when is dutch roll most prevalent, like low speed vs high speed vs configuration.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? I guess i kinda expanded in previous question
Cog Test That was easy especially if you spent time practicing on RST, you’re golden. I recommend listening to the webinar because it is very helpful. during the debrief they said that 2 of us failed the cog math but still passed the cog portion so don’t feel too stress out about the math portion but do try your best.
Cog Math Questions Honestly I think i guessed at all of them…. well i remembered a lot of them from the cog math powerpoint on FaceBook and when i recognized the question i knew what answer to look for.
HR Questions HR was not bad. they sit you down in a small table so they are close to you, very intimate. ask the tell me about your self in 5 min. highlight everything that is not on your app that you want them to know. the only one that i haven’t come across from RST is WWYD if NY went into an IROP and this pax comes up for you to help and everyone is busy and you cant help their issue, what would you do to make sure she come back to fly on Delta again?
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? I was fortunate enough to be able to practice with a recruiter at my current airline
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? non, my current airline’s recruiter
Any additional information you would like to add. it was great. be prepared for an emotional roller coaster
Is their anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? really study the job knowledge concepts not just the quiz and flash cards
