General Overview of Experience The people guiding us through the interview are genuinely some of the kindest people I’ve met in the industry and they did everything in their power to put us at ease. The group of interviewees was divided in half alphabetically. First half would do the HR panel then the MMPI. Second half would take the MMPI then do the HR panel. They have a few different HR panels and interview rooms, so they’re set up to interview multiple people at a time. After lunch we were given CJOs, then did drug testing, fingerprinting, and a one-on-one video interview with a psychologist. We found out the results of the MMPI/Psych part of the interview by email later that night.

HR Questions *Your grades weren’t so good in college. What caused that? What’s different about your performance in airline training?

*What makes a good training department?

*Tell us about a time you intervened in something that made a difference in improving the customer experience.

*Describe your leadership style as a captain. Tell us about a time that leadership style worked well, then tell us about a time it didn’t work well.

*Is it going to be difficult transitioning back to the right seat?

*WWYD flight attendant says group of first class pax are drunk. Gate agent says they know the pax and they’re not.

*WWYD one pax making other pax uncomfortable because he keeps getting up to check on his bag and because of his ethnicity.

Cog Test Taken online prior to getting invite. RST New Cog Trainer is very good prep. Be familiar with how to resize objects in whichever browser you use to take the test; I was having issues with parts of the test being cut off above or below the limits of the screen. NDB game does not automatically sequence to the next question when answers have been selected. You’ll need to click on a chevron at the bottom of the screen.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? 2 months
Any additional information you would like to add. Check your email the night before the interview. There was an email they wanted printed before we showed up because it had a QR code they would scan during check in. Make sure you have a plan for printing this. The La Quinta that I stayed at did not have a working business center that I could print from. Be prepared to show proof of a rapid COVID test taken within 24 hours of interview date.
Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? I wish I had ordered college transcripts sooner and I wish I would have at least started the process of printing logbooks sooner.
