General Overview of Experience Only military flying experience. 1700 total time, all turbine. 1100 turbine PIC. 376 MEL. 1324 SEL. 1064 hours in the AV-8B.
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? <60 days
Did you attend a job fair? Yes
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? With Delta I had a guaranteed app review due to my attendance at Delta ATP-CTP. With American, I attended the SkyBall career fair in Dallas and received an invite for the video interview the next week.
How many internal recs did you have? 3-4
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 8 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? No
Technical Test Questions RST prep was good, but there were questions I had not seen before on the Delta JKT. Didn’t feel great about the test but must have passed as I got a CJO.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? Jepp plate interpretation.
HR Questions At Delta some of the HR questions seemed to be designed to see if I would attempt to embellish my resume. Also didn’t get a lot of positive feedback from my interviewers. At American the questions were straight forward with lots of positive feedback from my interview team. Very pleasant experience.
Cog Test RST prep is solid for Delta. No prep required for American.

Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? Start RST JKT prep sooner. I only gave myself 15 days and I would hav been more comfortable if I had started sooner.
