General Overview of Experience Professional. Almost all the stress is what you put on yourself. But the day is pretty long and mentally demanding. Somehow I was able to get a good nights sleep the day prior and felt good all day. Everything else is as previously briefed.
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? 12 months +
Did you attend a job fair? Yes
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? Probably an internal rec.
How many internal recs did you have? 5+
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 8 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? No except that my interview invite was in my spam folder for a while. Watch out for that.
Technical Test Questions As briefed. I’d say 75% of mine were almost exactly like RST. And of the 5 I wasn’t sure of 2 I’d seen before. I just didn’t remember. 2 or 3 math questions and they were simple 3 degree FPM questions about descents rates on final. I did to the 15 day, the ground schools, and all the practice tests. Some tests serveral times. Study and do the practice tests
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? There was a question about having what xwind controls you have to put in while slowing in the flare. The answers didn’t make sense to me. I took an educated guess.
HR Questions Everyone was very nice and personable. They try and make you as comfortable as possible. We spent quite a bit of time on my app and history. then a TMAAT a rule you didn’t agree with. And a wwyd that was quite easy but I don’t remember it. Nothing I hadn’t read on this forum. It was light and friendly.
Cog Test Much easier than the brain games on RST. Except for the listen to the tones. That one I felt like was harder. But still not bad.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? First ECIC seminar was over two years ago. But in the month prior I did 2 webinars and a rapid fire and top off.
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? ECIC help greatly in helping come up with how to tell your stories. And how to handle the wwyds and giving you the confidence you need. But it turns out that none of the awesome stories I had prepared or practiced I actually used besides the intro. You never know what they’ll ask you so just be confident and be personable and you’ll do great.
Any additional information you would like to add. Day 2 is still the interview. Don’t let your foot off the gas for the psych Eval.
Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? Nope. I put in a lot of time preparing and I was rewarded with feeling of being well prepped and I thought it was easy. (Although still stressful)
