Technical Test Questions I had two math questions (time/distance for descent planning) and the majority of the rest were aerodynamics based similar to the RST gouge.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? Two descent planning questions…I got lucky and didn’t get any distance to VOR or lead turn/radial questions. I was scoring 80-95% on all RST quizzes and felt more than confident on the day of the test.
HR Questions 3-5 minutes to tell them about myself, tell us about your most influential leader, tell us about a time you had a conflict in the cockpit, scenario based question about deteriorating weather at destination. Overall my interview lasted around 20-30 minutes and was very laid back. All four groups of interviewers were friendly and encouraging based on what the other applicants said.
Cog Test I felt like I barely made a mistake after practicing the Jet Brain Games and watching the video…RST made it easy.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? 4 weeks
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? Emerald Coast
Any additional information you would like to add. We went 16/16 on our interview day and they meant it when they said they want to hire everyone they bring to ATL. They don’t care what suit/tie you wear, they make fun of the gouge floating around with speculation on the interview, and you can’t game the personality tests (just answer honestly and hope you’re not a serial killer).
Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? No
