General Overview of Experience Everything was the same as other ride reports. Delta does a great job with helping keep your nerves down. Make sure to have your paperwork in order that they ask and split between the first and second set.
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? 12 months +
Did you attend a job fair? No
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? Internal Rec submitted to Pilot Selection
How many internal recs did you have? 1-2
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 4 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? No, they never said a word about my logbooks.
Technical Test Questions Everything was as advertised on RST
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? Nothing stands out. I used the 15 day checklist and did all the RST Ground School and honestly thought the JKT was really easy. I only had 2 math questions which were simple fuel and radial distance.
HR Questions Just went over application for 20 minutes and 1 TMAAT question (Time I provided good customer service) and 2 WWYD questions (Thunderstorms 150 miles and cockpit light). I had seen all 3 questions in other ride reports so felt very prepared.
Cog Test Much easier than RST. For the test where you remember the previous number, I was going super fast on RST but the real test the numbers fade in and out slowly and you can’t do it as fast as RST cause you won’t see the next number.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? 4 Weeks
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? ECIC. Highly recommend them, be careful not to use any canned answers but ECIC does a great job
Any additional information you would like to add.
Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process?
