Which Airline did you interview with? Delta
How many days between invite, interview, and listed availability?
Did you receive a job offer? Yes
If you did not receive the CJO why do you think you weren’t chosen to continue in the process? N/A
What is your experience? Military
Total Flight Time 4,000-5,000
Total Turbine PIC Time >2,000
General Overview of Experience Experience was great. Stressful, but great. I did the testing portion first and then was the first one to interview after lunch so I was done by 1pm but had to wait until 330pm to find out the results. All three people on the HR panel were very friendly and made you feel at ease.
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? 6-12 months
Did you attend a job fair? No
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? Not sure. I had three internal rec letters who also said they e-mailed Delta.
How many internal recs did you have? 3-4
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 4 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? None
How did you prepare for the JKT/COG portion of the interview? RST Delta was spot on. There were a few differences but the actual test was easier than what is on RST Delta. So if you practice that, you should be good.
Technical Test Questions There were a few that I hadn’t seen before. One I had said that you lose your left main AC bus and the weather is at Cat III mins at your destination, what are you considering: I chose the option that you might not have the correct instruments to shoot a Cat III ILS but some others were things about manual gear extension and flap operation. Another one I hadn’t seen was one dealing with the Loc usable signal. 18 NM was not an option. They were looking for the left to right boundaries and distances associated, like +/- 35 degrees out to 10 NM, +/- 25 degrees out to 15 NM, etc.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? I didn’t really have any difficult ones really. I did have a few about parasite and induced drag while configuring and maintaining airspeed, etc so know that concept well.
Cog Test Minor differences from RST Delta but if you practice RST Delta, you will be good.
Cog Math Questions I had zero math questions on my Cog Test as did a few others in my group. The ones that had math problems said they were pretty easy.
