General Overview of Experience Fantastic day at FedEx. Everyone was awesome and encouraging.
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? 6-12 months
Did you attend a job fair? No
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? No. I had no LOR’s or internal references.
* I had zero but the form required me to choose from below.
How many internal recs did you have? 1-2
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 4 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? No
How did you prepare for the JKT/COG portion of the interview? RST and Delta gouge. Studied a few hours a day and knew the concepts very well.
Technical Test Questions I had quite a few NDB, math related questions, and Jepp chart questions. NDB centered around holding, course intercepts, and heading corrections. Math were all related to en route descent, radials, VSI, etc. – all similar to Delta gouge questions.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? CATIII approaches – don’t know a thing about them. Jepp questions were kind of difficult for me.
Cog Test I messed up the border, color, direction arrow test. I couldn’t get in a rhythm and I’m sure I scored very low. I honestly believe I didn’t get called back because of the cog test.
Number memory is easy – the numbers actually leave a burn-in of the number on the screen.
Cog Math Questions John can eat a sixth of a pizza in two minutes. It takes 3 minutes for Billy to eat one quarter of the same pizza. If John and Billy start eating one pizza each, who will finish first?
It takes John 25 minutes to walk to the car park and 45 to drive to work. At what time should he get out of the house in order to get to work at 9:00 a.m.?
No kidding I had these two questions.
HR Questions Never made it to day two. 🙁
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? 12 months
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? EC
Any additional information you would like to add. I thought I was well prepared for the COG and job knowledge tests. I simply choked on the COG. I am sure it was the cog that I failed.
Tell members to wear a watch. I will help a lot for SA during the COG and personality tests.
Is their anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? Get more rest. I slept three hours the night before.
