General Overview of Experience I have nothing significant to add to the existing ride reports. Interview process was exactly as described in recent ride reports, including the gotcha items like having your paperwork in exact order and having all of your paper logbooks available and having them match your printed and bound electronic logs (which I highly recommend). E-log is the ONLY way to get your time to match airlineapps IMHO. GET SOME SLEEP the night before. Its a LONG early day with a huge dose of nervous energy on top.
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? 1-6 months
Did you attend a job fair? No
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? No.
How many internal recs did you have? 5+
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 6 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? No, because I spent a LOT…. HOURS of time making sure mine were spot on. The rumors are that these three items are the leading cause of try again in three months outcomes.
HR Questions Be familiar with all the gouge questions and you will be fine.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? 6 weeks
How did you prep? Practiced out loud 5 minute intro until it was solid. Attended all the webinars – took copious notes. Reviewed gouge questions, and had 8 to 10 stories from my personal experience. I was able to answer all questions from these stories.
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? RST
Any additional information you would like to add. Application employment info needs to go all the way back to 1st job. You don’t have to remember the supervisor’s name of the Krispy Kreme you worked at when you were 15, but you do need to list it with all the info you can remember. Telephone numbers, exact address, etc., listed as unknown are OK for these early jobs.
