Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? I was still waiting on some military paperwork. I think they tried to get a reaction out of me, but weren’t too concerned about it.
How did you prepare for the JKT/COG portion of the interview? RST
Technical Test Questions I had thought RST question bank wording was attributed to being something lost in translation, but the actual questions on the JKT were similar. For instance, air-ignition-fuel was not an option for engine start sequence. Most questions can be narrowed down to two incorrect answers, and then picking the best option of the remaining two. Take your time and RTFQ, and also RTFA! (read the full question and answers)
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? RST practice tests helped prepare me well. If you’re familiar with the concepts, you should have no problem deciphering the best answer. You can go back and review questions if you have time left, but you have to use the back button. So if you want to review question 5 for example, you’ll have to go back through 55 other questions.
Cog Test I got a few practices in before the trainer went down, so that helped. It wasn’t too bad. Read the instructions! Remember the sequence on the code test, because it will pop up again without the key a few tests later.
Cog Math Questions Nothing too hard. I got a couple reverse percentage problems.
HR Questions TS w/in 3 miles, Delta policy not to take off, wwyd?
Concourse change, running late- what would you brief? F/A on cell, wwyd?
ATL-DFW, 35k over Jackson MS, compressor stall, run through checklist but only idle power, wwyd?
If I were able to do it over, would I take the same path to get here?
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? 2 years?
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? Emerald Coast, yes
Any additional information you would like to add. Safety above all else, take the most conservative course of action, hold firm in your decisions, deal with personnel issues privately, and empathize/follow up on personnel issues. I think you could boil down any question to those elements. Easier said than done, so practice, practice, practice!
Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? Not really. I felt well prepared and comfortable. Maybe a full-time interview coach? RST/EC combo should be plenty adequate in most cases though.
