Technical Test Questions Heavy focus on aero, manual engine start (ie. how do you get a jet engine to start if you are not just throwing the throttle over the hump), VOR navigation, descent calculations, calculating VVI, lead radial calculations.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? Over-all the entire test was challenging.
HR Questions Tell us about yourself from high school in 5 minutes. The majority of the interview focused on the application. WWYD if CA briefed he was intentionally going to disregard noise abatement procedures? How would you respond to a younger CA, would that be a problem?
My biggest advice is to have a framework of experiences that are relateable to the HR question generator in RST. They don’t stray too far from those. Our group saw first hand that “winging it” won’t let you move on. I absolutely believe that the HR portion of the interview is the most important part of your time at Pilot Selection. Be humble, approachable, and credible.
Cog Test The new RST resources are good enough.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? 6 months
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? ECIC. Yes. The biggest takeaway was to draw a lesson learned from each of your experiences. How have those experiences (good or bad) made you a better pilot or leader today?
Any additional information you would like to add.
Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? I left everything on the table.
