General Overview of Experience | Great experience and actually had a good time, despite the nerves associated with an interview. The entire hiring team treated us as if we were already hired and did whatever they could to put us at ease. These guys and gals have spent a long time at the company and want to make sure they hire folks that will keep FedEx growing in the future. As such, they want to get to know the real you, not the prep-company you. |

Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? | Nope. I updated my app after every flight and then at least once a month after separating from the AF. |
How did you prepare for the JKT/COG portion of the interview? | RST! Especially the new Ground School and understanding why you chose an answer to the practice quizzes. I can’t stress the importance of this site. |
Technical Test Questions | I got about 15-20 questions that were ~90% close to the Tuesday Test Questions on the RSTDelta site. Another 20 or so were very close to the RST practice quizzes. ‘Concepts’ is the name of the game on this one. I thought it was pretty easy, except for about 5 questions. I got about 6-8 math questions, but all were fairly simple. |
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? | I got an RMI one that was pretty goofy, none of the options looked good. |
Cog Test | If you are comfortable with the RST trainer, then you will be fine. Just remember your OU-LXT sequence! |
Cog Math Questions | The math section, at least the questions I got, was a lot easier than RST. |
HR Questions | Half of our group got a bad cop…I did not. My two guys were very friendly and conversational. It started off with an introduction on their part followed by the ‘reader’s digest’ story of me sans resume. Had a lengthy discussion about fatigue and professionalism. I explained some fatigue mitigating factors I use on the ground and inflight to include a story about pulling the crew rest card. I got the uphill engine shutdown question, where do you see yourself in 10 years, and a couple others centered around why me and why FedEx. I really don’t remember specifics mostly because the interview was more conversational vs shotgun Q&As. Very enjoyable experience to be honest. |

Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? | ECIC – Very useful for the SBI. As for the Panel interview, I think it helps to cage your mind towards interview-type questions. With that, I can’t stress how important it is to be yourself and answer your questions honestly. |
Any additional information you would like to add. | Overall, I had a great experience with the FedEx hiring team. Dive into FedEx’s website and figure out what the company is doing and find key points that resonate with you. Despite the nerves, try to remember your interviewers’ story (and names). I made a conscious effort to do just that (I’m horrible with names) and it made things a lot more relaxed. |
