Technical Test Questions | Technical: -using iPad and current wx briefed taxi out and departure after brief he asked several symbols on SID like how to tell what MSA altitude is, what highest obstacle is, top altitude of SID, what if vectored off departure what altitude do you climb to -profile callouts for takeoff -in cruise he gave a Probe heat caution message, using content locker in iPad ran QRH then asked what would you do? Continue? Divert? Communications with whom and what would you say? -approach briefing, then asked questions about STAR what speeds, is there a specific approach this arrival is for. Asked max holding speeds for various altitudes, where to see the distance of the hold, what if you lost comms, what’s FAF for ILS, what if gs out of service what’s the faf and how do you know, what’s the vdp, where is missed approach point, when can you go missed -profiles for approach callouts, followed by go around profiles, -in hold now what? Airport reported as closed walk through what you’d do, who you’d talk to, divert? Hold indefinitely, if diverting where to and based on what info -watch CRM video and give feedback of good/bad of crew, my scenario the crew was going into Reno at night got cleared for visual, captain is PF begins descent early and gets terrain caution, he elects to level off until past terrain then resume descent, then asked what would you do in that scenario, climb or level off? We’re any FAR’s or company procedures violated by not reacting to the terrain? If you had done what the crew did in that scenario, what would you say to captain after landing in debrief? What if he is adversarial and says he comes there every week and always gets it and it’s fine what do you say? |
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? | Max hold speeds, was not anticipating that question, was ball park close but slightly off on two of them |
HR Questions | HR: There were a total of 5 TMAAT stories but I don’t remember the other 2 -Intro about yourself and how you got into flying -TMAAT you personally did something to help a customer or crew member that notably made their day better -TMAAT you were overwhelmed -TMAAT you made an unpopular decision and or were challenged on a decision by your crew -Why United? |
