General Overview of Experience Great HR team and overall experience. They want to hire you is what they tell you from the get go – so it’s up to you to shine on the Technical and HR portions!
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? 12 months +

Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? No

How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 4 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? No
How did you prepare for the JKT/COG portion of the interview? RST
Technical Test Questions The JKT was only 60 questions long – but I’d say 90% percent of the actual questions were not identical to what I studied. So again, as has been stated before – know the concepts so that you understand what is being asked – not just looking for the questions you have seen before.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? Be prepared for Volcanic Ash questions, I had two that were tough cookies. One dealt with what is more of an emergency situation, ie… windscreen damage, pitot/static damage, engine damage, etc. The other dealing with how do you get out of the ash plume – climb, descend, continue straight through it, etc..?
I thought I answered them correctly based on prior knowledge, but after I got back to my hotel room and looked them up on-line, I realized I was mistaken. I was still somewhat correct, but with new data from recent explosions my answers were not the preferred action anymore. Look it up and be familiar with the new recommendations.
Cog Test I am lucky to have gone through the RST program or I would have failed for sure!
Cog Math Questions Didn’t spend much time on this as they were few and in between on my end.
HR Questions Various – pretty easy to answer in my opinion. I had nothing canned, just answered honestly and as professionally as possible.
