General Overview of Experience Interviews are still over Zoom but I’m not sure how much longer that is going to last. Great overall experience, they do a general introduction of themselves (HR & Pilot) then it is your time to shine. I only got asked one question I hadn’t thought of which is highlighted in the ride report below but other than that there wasn’t anything cosmic. They were easy to talk with and it took about an hour which included all the required questions they have to ask. I didn’t really have any questions since I have several friends that have recently been hired and had a pretty good idea of what happens next if offered a CJO.
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? <60 days
Did you attend a job fair? No
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? That is the million dollar question because I have no idea. I re-applied on the 9th of Jan 2022, received my app/resume review email on the 26th of Jan, review completed the 28th of Jan, invite for the Hogan on the 30th of Jan, Hogan completed on the 4th of Feb, email invite to schedule an interview the 8th of Feb with an interview date of 21 Feb. I had 5 internal recommendations but I think only 2 or 3 were actually submitted prior to the process starting.
How many internal recs did you have? 5+
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 2 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? No
Technical Test Questions Being able to read a STAR and know the altitudes, Holding to include entry, speed and timing, V1 cut or continued takeoff after losing an engine.
HR Questions There weren’t any of these I hadn’t heard of in some way shape or form. The standard TMAAT. Some of those that stick in my head are: TMAAT you had to think outside the box. What did you learn about UPS. TMAAT you had a CRM breakdown in the airplane. What makes a good leader. CRM, what does it mean to you.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? I had already had a Delta interview so I spent about a month brushing up on my GK for the technical questions and just polishing my intro along with how I would answer the TMAAT questions.
How did you prep? RST, Emerald Coast, and feedback from friends that had recently interviewed
Any additional information you would like to add. Be yourself, this was one of the more relaxing interviews I have done. It might have helped that it was on Zoom but still very relaxing, they want to hire you, especially if you have made it to the interview.
Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? No
What can we do to improve our services? I can’t think of anything. RST does a good job of updating the ever changing landscape of the interview process which is very helpful.
