Which Airline did you interview with? FedEx
How many days between invite, interview, and listed availability?
Did you receive a job offer? 12 months call back
If you did not receive the CJO why do you think you weren’t chosen to continue in the process? Was told that the ‘computer got me’ and I didn’t pass test day. If I had to guess, I think something flagged on the personality test. Felt pretty good about my COG and JKT performance. I will never know b/c they can’t/won’t tell me where I failed.

How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? 1-6 months
Did you attend a job fair? Yes
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? Attended WAI last March 2016 (met with FedEx). Also attended an Emerald Coast Seminar, as well as a phone top off (not that it mattered since I didn’t get to the interview portion). Have multiple close buds who work for Fedex provide great application advice/review. They also provided internal recs and hand walked my resume to Kim Daniels in HR.
How many internal recs did you have? 3-4
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 4 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? No.
How did you prepare for the JKT/COG portion of the interview? Studied 3-4 hours a day. Used your 15 day training plan as well as most of the other resources/material provided on the website. Spent most of my time in the Naval Aviator API Aero Manual. Utilized all of your note card trainers/practice tests etc. Read Everything Explained For the Professional Pilot while taking extensive notes covering topics I thought would be on the test (obtained from TRs, FedEx JKT Outline summary etc). Practiced the COG trainer numerous times until I felt comfortable.
Technical Test Questions I truly apologize, I do not recall any specific questions.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? Again I apologize, I don’t recall. I can say with confidence (and hopefully not blind confidence) that I didn’t focus on memorizing questions during my prep. I focused on studying the concepts based off of your website’s guidance, and the guidance provided by the FedEx test outline. In the end, I don’t recall feeling like I saw something I hadn’t seen in my study prep before. I only had 7-8 questions to review at the end of the test and even those questions were topics I was familiar with, but just had a hard time recalling the underlying principles.
Cog Test Should have been a no brainer and felt it went ok (even though it’s the first test you take and I was nervous as hell). Your COG prep is great…its the actual test.
Cog Math Questions Can’t recall actual questions
HR Questions Didn’t get a chance to see HR.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? N/A…but for the record attended an Emerald Coast Seminar last March. Felt very excited to get a chance to sit down with the interviewers.
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? Emerald Coast. Yes (I guess, we’ll find out when I get a job offer). I have friends that I trust on the ECIC staff and I’m confident they provide a great product.
Any additional information you would like to add. As mentioned above, I felt very prepared for the COG/JKT. After taking the tests, I felt pretty good about them, I never felt blind sided by any of the concepts presented. If I had to guess, I think maybe I ‘failed’ the personality test. I read some gouge about the Hogan and other psych tests the night before and in the end, answered a lot of questions with ‘strongly’ agree/disagree. The fellas I interviewed with all stayed more in the middle (and they made it past test day). I feel maybe the gouge clouded my ability to answer some of the more ambiguous questions. In the end, I’ll never know which test I screwed up, or if I just scored low on all of them.
Is their anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? Stay away from personality/psych test gouge.
What can we do to improve our services? I think you provide a great product, which improves every week/month. I felt very prepared for the COG/JKT, all due to your prep guidance.
Concepts not covered by RST None that I can recall.
