General Overview of Experience Very professional experience. Everyone was knowledgeable about their jobs and friendly to the interviewees. I never felt like I was in the hot seat throughout the 2 days of being there. However, I also never got any feedback about how I was doing aside from getting the CJO at the end of Day 1 and the email saying Day 2 was successful.
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? 12 months +
Did you attend a job fair? Yes
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? I had a Delta pilot recommend my app for scoring
How many internal recs did you have? 5+
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 6 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? No issues whatsoever. I brought exactly what was in the Delta paperwork and they were satisfied with that.
Technical Test Questions Time was not an issue on the test for me. I had about 10 questions where I wasn’t sure of the answer but I made the best educated guess. Plenty of time to think those questions through at the end. The math trainer on RST was harder than the roughly 4 math questions I happened to get.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? There wasn’t one question that stuck out to me.
HR Questions Tell me about yourself in 5 minutes. They went over my application and asked some questions about college, some jobs I had in the past, etc. TMAAT you provided excellent customer service while operating a Delta Connection flight. WWYD if an FA calls up in flight and says another FA isn’t pulling their weight. WWYD if a Senior CA is missing assigned headings and airspeeds while you fly a trip with him. WWYD if you are climbing out of ATL on a short 35 minute flight. The FA calls up and says that there was a loud noise from the rear of the cabin. The noise has now gone away. Passengers heard the noise and are nervous. All indications from the flight deck show normal engine function and pressurization. Overall I felt like this interview lasted 10 minutes. I was very surprised to find out I was in the room for 45 minutes to an hour.
Cog Test The RST trainer is great. The cog test is easier than the RST trainer.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? 4 weeks
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? I used Lori Clark at FlyTheLine for HR Prep. She truly wants to see you succeed but will not sugarcoat things for you. She provided 12 hours of one-on-one prep and I respond well to the individual attention. I walked out of the HR interview thinking that Lori asked tougher questions than the HR team.
Any additional information you would like to add.
Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? No
