General Overview of Experience Stayed at the Hilton. If they have rooms its the perfect hotel being only a 5 minute walk to the center. I didn’t get the chance to meet up the night before but bumped into a few interviewees in the lobby and walked over about 710. Right at 730 we were taken back in groups of 4 to give our paperwork sets. Then we waited until right at 800 and Barry Holmes walked is into a conference room. Barry is very good at putting you to ease and gives you a good idea of how the day will go. I was in the first group to test and went through the COG then a short personality test and then the JKT. I was getting 800+ on the RST cog and that made this one super easy. The personality test was easy as well just he honest and expect to answer the same sort of question 3 times. The JKT is nearly identical to what you are seeing on RST. Study hard and this will be a non issue. Next we had lunch at the cafeteria and took a breather. Back to it and I was in the last group for the HR. Walked in and everyone was very nice and friendly. Went over my application and ensued it was accurate. Then told them about myself from highschool to present. Then was asked about my freshman year grades that weren’t perfect. No problem. Then asked about a check ride failure. No problems there either. Then on to situational stuff: What makes a good leader? What qualities to you have that make you a good leader? When have you had to use those qualities? When did it not work? When have you had a tough flight or time at work? WWYD if a captain looked like he may be high and fast at a restriction? WWYD if you’re missing 25 meals from catering and you’re at push? Gate agent is pushy now? That was it. Took 45 minutes and then I was done to wait for about an hour. Barry came and got me and said that I had failed the HR portion and wasn’t able to reapply for 12 months. Really not sure where it went wrong honestly. Everything seemed great and positive and the questions were pretty simple.
