General Overview of Experience | Great ladies in the pilot recruitment office. Interviewed with 2 x 737 Captains, then 1 x HR person. The Captain and FO who greeted us for 30 mins repeatedly stressed they want to get to know us and answered interesting questions about the company. The interview Captains were relaxed and wanted to hear my personal stories. HR person did not engage much and literally spent 4-5 mins writing after I answered each question. |

HR Questions | You are about to start your decent to a fictional metropolitan airport in mountainous terrain you have never been to. The field is going to minimums and ATC is conducting simultaneous approaches down to mins. IMC up to FL230, visibility decreasing, and the airport is surrounded by mountainous terrain. Describe this to me. – TMAAT you became irritated or frustrated with someone you worked with and how did you handle it? – What is a policy change or process you did not like in the past year you had to deal with? |

How was it resolved? What did you learn? What would you do differently next time? Scenario #1 You are about to start your decent to a fictional metropolitan airport in mountainous terrain you have never been to. The field is going to minimums and ATC is conducting simultaneous approaches down to mins. IMC up to FL230, visibility decreasing, and the airport is surrounded by mountainous terrain. What are your thoughts? You have the aircraft. How would you brief the approach? Scenario #2 3rd flight on the line off of IOE and 1st day of a 4-day trip in the middle of the night and Captain is unresponsive. You are at cruising altitude about half way into a transcontinental flight from the northeast to the Pacific Northwest. It’s 0130 and the Captain says he isn’t feeling well. A few minutes later he is unresponsive. You have the aircraft. Scenario #3 You’re a Captain, you just show up at the gate, and discover that MX has just towed away the jet for a hydraulic issue, and that it’ll take 3 ½ hours to fix. The passengers were expecting to start boarding in 30 minutes. You have the situation. |
