General Overview of Experience Great experience overall, extremely professional organization. Nerves will be high, but just be yourself and you will do just fine. Being yourself is what got you there in the first place so just continue with that and breathe!
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? 12 months +
Did you attend a job fair? No
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? Internal letters of recommendation probably triggered the invitation to interview.
How many internal recs did you have? 3-4
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 8 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? None, used a professional application review service that definitely helped. Didn’t even ask about logbook, probably because all flight time was military time.
Technical Test Questions N/A.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? No technical questions. Some questions based on your application and history leading you to this point, some TMAAT and WWYD. Just take a couple deep breaths, think for a few seconds and answer to the best of your ability.
HR Questions I did use an interview prep service and that helped formulate some processes for answering questions and the work involved resulted in some good stories/situations at the ready for multiple scenarios. It was all very conversational and I do believe they are just trying to get to know you and see if the person in the room aligns with what they’ve read on the application. Just be honest and answer the best way you know how.
Cog Test Did the online Cog test for the assessment and used a combination of RST prep and CUT-E prep. Both made be feel well prepared for the online Cog assessment.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? I started as soon as I received the invite to interview in November.
How did you prep? A combination of RST, Cut-E, and ECIC and talking with other pilots at the company.
Any additional information you would like to add. Put in the time to prepare, then just go and be yourselves and let the chips fall where they may. Don’t stress about the MMPI, just answer truthfully and you’ll be fine.
Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? I could have used more prep, but mainly because I think we are all our own worst critics and could have or wanted to do better, but at the end of the day I still received the CJO so it’s a mute point now.
