General Overview of Experience Military only with lots of Instructor time in fighters, transport and trainers.

Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? I only had one internal rec, but did have a someone check up on my application with-in the company.

How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 2 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? I put a spreadsheet in with my military logbooks and no issues.
How did you prepare for the JKT/COG portion of the interview? Looked at the slides on RST.
Technical Test Questions N/A
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? N/A
Cog Test The Cog Test was pretty tough and the only prep you can do is look at the slides on RST. Keep a good attitude and power through!
Cog Math Questions The math portion of the Cog test is absolutely wicked. Only one person I talked to out of our interview group thought they got three right. I only got two and passed on the rest after giving it about 5 min per each.
HR Questions TMAAT that you identified an issue (safety or otherwise) and how did you fix it? Tell me what you have studied recently that you have incorporated into your flying? TMAAT you received negative feedback and how did you react? Scenarios – You are the Captain and see/overhear two crew members making fun of a passenger from a previous flight in front of current passengers. You can shoot an approach to your destination, but weather is at mins and if you are not able to land, you will arrive at your alternate with less than your 45 min of gas to hold. There is a building cell 6 miles off the runway your are cleared to takeoff from and it is moving towards the field with previous traffic doing an immediate turn to avoid. What would you do?
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? I attended an ECIC seminar well prior and then did a telephone top-off a week and a half prior.
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? Emerald Coast and it helped me quite a bit. AA wants you to be yourself, but Emerald Coast helps cage your brain about what to consider and think about.
