Technical Test Questions What do winglets do in terms of takeoff performance, What is the purpose of the turbine section, Question concerning correcting back to course on NDB… T to C, Bank angle for 1/2 std rate turn for approx 45 degree turn, local to Zulu time conversion… didn’t specify DST or not, Excessive winds at cruise beyond flight plan (50 kts) what do you fly… LRC or fly faster, What happens to TAS if temp increases 15 at cruise, Where does boundary layer separation begin… forward or aft on wing, Wake turbulence… when greatest, Center line lighting last 2000ft, Receive hold light while holding in position for t/o… when will light go out in terms of crossing traffic,
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? See above. All were much different and more challenging in terms of close answers than led to believe in some of the gouge.
Cog Test Much more intensive than led to believe and more intensive than 2000 Interview process. All Lumosity based. Several test with alphanumeric recognition while also tasked to maintain horizontal or vertical centering deviations. Several test will give you a number or letter, flash another letter or number where as you have to input the previous number or letter… this goes on for about 10 sequences. On other test on 3 up to 6 digit number combinations where you have recall the number and input it back words… about 10 sequences, square block pattern recall, audio tone combinations that you needed to determine if they we the same or different, man holding flag recognition… facing you, facing away from you… same upside down

HR Questions As Capt you are informed of a 45 min delay… WWYD, Your thought of what makes a professional pilot, as a senior person do you feel you can fly with someone junior to you, went thru application page by page… no issues. Offered to take jacket off or leave on… took it off. It’s not a trap… be comfortable. Asked to tell about myself… exp… etc. asked to explain emergency I had in an airplane.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? Not long. Felt comfortable and prepared for that part… no issues or games played. Easiest part of the process.

Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? Lumosity… more time. More accurate gouge. Seems like a lot of dated gouge or I wasn’t looking in the right place.
