Which Airline did you interview with? Delta
How many days between invite, interview, and listed availability? listed 2 weeks notice. Invited 42 days prior to interview
Did you include volunteer work in your application? Yes
Did you receive a job offer? No 6, months re-invite, HR Failure
If you did not receive the CJO why do you think you weren’t chosen to continue in the process? HR. I had two unfortunate but explainable paperwork inconsistencies; one in a current and one in a prior version of my application that were a big distraction in the interview.

General Overview of Experience Retired Military V-22 Osprey Instructor Pilot . 1 Year at 121 airline flying B737.
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? 12 months +
Did you attend a job fair? Yes
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? Interview seemed to follow updating my application to over 500 SIC hours in the B737.
How many internal recs did you have? 1-2
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 4 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? I discovered after the interview during my post mortem that the university for my undergrad updated their system between when they issued me a transcript which I used to fill out my application, and when I delivered a sealed official transcript to Delta. The GPA differed by .01 higher on my application than on the sealed transcript. During the interview HR had me pen change the application to match the sealed transcript, and then sign it. They asked me several time is this was now the correct number. They then had me sign a paper that said I would be terminated if I was found to have lied.
Technical Test Questions No issues encountered with technical questions
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? I thought everything was covered in the prep course.
HR Questions The most difficult HR questions were Hypotheticals. They were very vague and the interviewers would interrupt to switch something up. I would have liked to use scratch paper to keep the various story lines straight, but they discouraged using paper as soon as I reached for my binder.
Cog Test To use the COG trainer on IPad, I found I needed to use flash, so downloaded the pay version of Puffin browser for iOS.
Perhaps adding a left and right button to the COG trainer would allow practicing the ball balance games on the ipad. for those games I had to switch to the desktop computer which then did not have a touch screen for the other divided attention tasks.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? I originally attended in person seminar 2 years ago. I repeated all of the videos during the month prior and received a top off the day before the interview.
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? I used ECIC. I should have made time for a top-off farther out from the interview. I discovered that I was lacking in my prep for a smooth way to answer the hypothetical questions. I would liked to had more time to practice those between top-off and interview.
Any additional information you would like to add.
Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? I concentrated my prep on JKT and COG to the detriment it seems of HR. I thought I was good on HR because of past prior prep and success with other interviews. This was a different experience and I will be better prepared next time.
A friend recommended to me, a few days before the interview, to prep for the psych test using another paid service. It seemed like a good idea, but I was too close in and out of time for good ideas.
