General Overview of Experience	Retired military strike-fighter pilot, including three years instructor pilot experience, and 16 months line flying in a regional airline. 11 years out of cockpit between military and part 121 flying.
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite?	6-12 months

Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation?	Yes, a Delta First Officer friend submitted an internal recommendation, which got my application re-evaluated.
How many internal recs did you have?	1-2
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview?	8 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork?	Yes, submitted initial application before knowing about the importance of having it screened by someone familiar with Delta’s application standards. Got a fix-it email the day after submitting initial application, then never heard from Delta until after completely re-writing application and getting an internal rec. No other issues.
Technical Test Questions	Some questions identical to RST quizzes, some similar questions, and some just had to apply knowledge and part 121 experience to choose answer.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test?	Do not recall.
HR Questions	Take 5 mins to tell about your professional career from high school. WWYD Capt wants to fly into line of thunderstorms, she believes we will top them, you know we will not. TMAAT dealt with a subordinate who was unhappy or argumentative. Would you inform pax or not about turbulence on descent to destination. Compressor stall right engine, WWYD other than the QRH procedures, and give example PA message. Name one quality you would bring and how would you demonstrate that.
Cog Test	No problems. Pay attention to the instructions in the part about continuing the series of numbers or letters, because the next number or letter actually stays in the same box on the screen, allowing one to anticipate where to tap thereby allowing one to tap faster.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview?	Three weeks.
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help?	Emerald Coast Interview Consulting. Yes, but apparently not quite enough.
Any additional information you would like to add.
Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process?	Wish I had known to start preparing much earlier, even months before I had an interview scheduled.
