General Overview of Experience Not to repeat everyone else’s report, but an incredible experience. A class act from start to finish. Even on campus outside the pilot selection office everyone is smiling and wishing you good luck. They really do want you to be hired and they tell you that. Definitely a great first impression!

Did you attend a job fair? No

How many internal recs did you have? 3-4
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 8 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? None.
How did you prepare for the JKT/COG portion of the interview? RST is great. I don’t know how well I would have done on this portion without the help. Like most folks, I did the 15-day checklist and then hit the ground schools. Did a practice exam two days before and then tried to relax.
Technical Test Questions I definitely was lucky on my questions. There were no questions that I hadn’t seen before (at least in concept), and only one minor math (VDP). I did have three holding problems that were fairly simple, so I felt much better on this portion.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? No really hard questions. I was expecting a big math problem, but never got it.
Cog Test Overall I thought I did worse on the Cog, primarily the math portion. The Cog is the first exam you take so your heart rate is already pumping. Recommend taking a few breaths between each section and relax. But everything is generally covered by RST (particularly the old COG trainer links that have seemed to have disappeared).
Cog Math Questions This was the most difficult section for me. I was still working out the first question in my head when the test moved onto the next one. Then I felt even more rushed on the following questions. This seems to happen to a lot of people, so again, just take a breath and move on (easier said than done).
HR Questions Again, to repeat other reports, the HR portion was stressful but very professional. For me, it really felt like they wanted to get to know me as an individual. The first part was right off my application. They asked me to talk about me from high school to present in about 5 mins. Then they asked why I went to the college I did? If I had the chance, would I choose another school? Why my two pilot training failures? The most stressful job I’ve had? And then maybe one other. After that, they went off a script, and they told me so. These questions dealt with how I handle conflict, how I prepare for long trips/deployments, have I ever disagreed with a policy I how I handled it, and maybe one or two others. Then they gave me two scenarios…the first was a passenger swears he saw me drinking alcohol before the flight, and the second was one crew members thinks another crew member is intoxicated. The last question was TMAAT you had an EP and how you handled it. I then was given the opportunity to ask them a question, so I asked what was one thing they are most proud of working at Delta. It was absolutely amazing to hear each of them humbly talk about their amazing careers and each said specifically it was the people and the culture at Delta they are most proud. In the end it was a great experience, simply to talk to a group of professionals with over 120 years experience in the company!
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? 6 months
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? ECIC…it was great…highly recommend.
Any additional information you would like to add. Thanks again to RST for the great prep!
Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? Nope
