General Overview of Experience Originally I failed the HR portion of the interview back in 2015 and was asked to call back in 6 months. However, it was a bit misleading since when I called back I was told I wouldn’t be scheduled for an interview but would be contacted by Delta at a future date for a reinterview. This process took an additional 6 months. I travelled positive space to Atlanta. Originally I wanted to stay at the Hilton but even with the DAL Employee Rate it was still too expensive so I found a way cheaper rate at the Hotel Indigo-College Park and used their hotel shuttle to get to HQ then Uber to get back. The Interview People were nice enough and try to make you relax with the usual Schpeel of be yourself etc. I will say that their process is very organized vs airlines like Southwest so at least that takes care of some of the stress. Then at the end of the long day they announce the people who will continue and those who will be sent home. I felt I performed the same in this interview vs the last but due to luck or a change in their hiring mentality I was able to continue on to the second day.

Technical Test Questions Math problems dealing with 3-1 Descent Profile. Useful range of a VASI/degrees off runway centerline. Transition altitude and when do you switch to QNE from QNH etc. Starting sequence of a jet engine along with fuel balancing/xfeed scenarios. Approach C Category Minimums. NDB course corrections when past the NAVAID. Determine TCH looking at JEPPS App Plate. Mandatory vs non-mandatory reporting point referencing a high altitude chart. Lift is parallel to chord line or relative wind?
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? The test seemed easier than my first interview. Biggest thing I can stress like everyone else has stated is know he concepts as well as solid definitions might have been more beneficial for me since their questions often take a different format from the RST Study Bank.
Cog Test Way easier than the RST Program which is awesome. Keep studying on the Jet Brain Games and you will find you will have a lot more SA and crucial seconds to make your selections.
Cog Math Questions
HR Questions How do you stay current at both the Reserves and the Airline? Why do you want to leave your current Airline? Person in coach is drunk and flight attendant doesn’t want him on board. What do you do? On climb out you hear a loud bang with no abnormal indications and passengers appear nervous. What do you do? Captain insults you for slow checklist usage. How do you handle the situation.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview?
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? Aside from the RST Computer stuff I did not use any prep service since the last time I interviewed I felt it made my answers too canned.
Any additional information you would like to add. Psych questions were tell me about your childhood? Any traumatic events? Describe a stressful time in your flying career? What is your leadership style? How do you handle stress?
