General Overview of Experience Professional interview process. No real surprises based on RST prep and online research.
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? 1-6 months
Did you attend a job fair? No
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? I had a Delta pilot submit my name to have my application internally scored.
How many internal recs did you have? 5+
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 3 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? None.
Technical Test Questions 60 questions. Questions were similar to RST practice questions, but not exact.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? A very in depth math question (the only one on the test). I skipped it to devote time to other questions.
HR Questions Most similar to those already published, but questions designed to address short comings in your background were non-standard (like check ride failures, grades, etc…).
Cog Test Similar to RST prep.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? Preparing for HR interviews going on 10 months, but only 1 month focused on Delta.
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? Personal friend, but may consider signing up for Emerald Coast since Delta appears to want a more scripted answer with “Rule of the Road” verbiage included.
Any additional information you would like to add. None.
Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? Not been caught off guard by improvised questions from one of the HR interviewers.
