Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? Two heavy, long haul international type ratings in 26 months time. The last war was an upgrade from FO on a 747 to Captain of a 777.
How many internal recs did you have? 0
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 4 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? Logbooks were thoroughly combed through. Mine were in good order and they do ask questions about random interesting flights from the notes in your logbook. Good conversation pieces. No issues with my logbooks.
Technical Test Questions None
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? The raw data SIM check was challenging. If you are lacking hand flying skills, better hone up on those skills long before the interview.
HR Questions Tell us about yourself. Why UPS. Why leave your current company. TMAATW you had another pilot tell you that you did something wrong. TMAATW you broke a rule. They wanted to know that you are a rule follower. HR was very laid back but I attribute this to about a hundred hours of study prep and being 100% prepared.
Cog Test
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? 4 weeks
How did you prep?
Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? No. I studied every free moment I had for an entire month. Went in extremely prepared to answer any question they threw at me.
