How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? 6-12 months
Did you attend a job fair? No
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? I updated my app every time I flew or at least once a week.
How many internal recs did you have? 1-2
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 7 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? No. I had my little black PPL logbook, my Air Force SARM summary sheet and my excel doc. No questions.
Technical Test Questions About 40% were close to the practice test questions and the rest were covered in the study guides or ANA. Several entry into holding questions.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? It was a special weather “SPECI” message asking about the conditions on the field. I’m still not sure what it was asking.
HR Questions It was a conversation between 3 pilots. Very relaxed. They wanted to get to know me. They didn’t want canned answers.
Cog Test I felt very prepared.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? ~4 months with a 45 day break until I had interview dates. I felt like I was becoming too rehearsed and didn’t sound natural.
