General Overview of Experience RST nailed the whole process, about 90 minutes of HR and tech questions asked by an HR rep and a Captain. I solely studied RST, did their practice HR questions and had no issues with the interview. Very low key, friendly approach as they just want to know who you are (you meet their criteria if you got and invitation to interview).
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? <60 days
Did you attend a job fair? No
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? I had the Head of the pilots union plus 3 other recommendations.
How many internal recs did you have? 3-4
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 4 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? None … followed the RST guidelines
Technical Test Questions Desk top takeoff to landing, every question was covered by the RST practice. Emergency was a door open and the FA didn’t want to secure the latch (CRM). I asked the FA why, then had the FA sit down with a seatbelt on and tell me the progress as another FA secured the door.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? Approaching SFO, the Captain asked what I would brief over the Sierras. I jumped on the arrival and he then asked more generically about being further out … turbulence, TS, seat belt sign.
HR Questions The only one that gave me pause was what I did to improve or change my organization.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? 2 months of practice
How did you prep? RST
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? Only RST, but it was perfect for me. The one on one coaching is a focus and detailed approach which really worked for me. Make sure you attend their live events as well.
