General Overview of Experience Stressful but not unpleasant. Lots of waiting around on day one for sure. But I had a good group so we had plenty to talk about and pass the time. And the people in that office really do go above and beyond to be friendly and make you feel at ease.
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? 12 months +
Did you attend a job fair? No
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? Internal recommendation

How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 8 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? No, they said my logbook was pretty neat. Like they hadn’t seen a computer logbook printout before.
Technical Test Questions Nothing that wasn’t covered in RST. Easier than I thought it would be but there were definitely some questions that i would have gotten wrong before RST.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? Nothing was hard enough to really stick in my mind. Maybe I just got lucky with the mix. I did change two of my answers when I reviewed them though.
HR Questions Tell me about a time you made a decision. (Very vague, no parameters so it threw me for a second).
Why did you get this C on your transcripts?
Why didn’t you finish your masters?
Captain is about to land at the wrong airport WWYD? He refuses to believe he’s at the wrong airport, now what?
How do you feel about changing/advancing technology in the cockpit?
Cog Test Nothing special. I took it before when I applied at the regional level and it was easier this time now that I knew what to expect. The PEBL software was good to practice on.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? One year
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? ECIC. One seminar, two webinars and a top-off. Help me come up with better stories and better ways to tell them.
Any additional information you would like to add. Only 4 of 8 of us in the group got the CJO. And I know at least two us got the Pilot App Review Board due to our psych evals and/or MMPI results. So we’re still waiting to hear the results of that but it could take weeks. The head of pilot recruiting did say the majority of people who get the PARB get the job still so I remain hopeful.
Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process?
