General Overview of Experience The Ready Set Takeoff study program was good preparation for day 1. It is a must. I wouldn’t have been able to organize my studying without it. I recommend ECIC for interview and SBI preparation. I read Turbine Pilot’s Flight Manual in full and referenced Everything Explained and Aero for Naval Aviators while studying with the RST program. The panel interview consisted of 2 retired pilots. Retired pilots were the only ones in the interview rooms conducting the interviews. For the interview some of the things that were asked were:
-Tell us about yourself and how you got here?
-You go to the aircraft and the lavatory is a smelly mess. How do you handle it?
-Tell me about fatigue.
-You are a Captain on approach and go around because of winds out of limits then your automation fails, what do you do?
-What do you do if your Captain is consistently behind the airplane on approaches?
-What do you do if you suspect you Captain may be have been drinking before a flight?
-How do you define unprofessional?
-Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
-Tell me about FedEx routes and aircraft.
This has been said a lot but everybody there is great and they tell you they want you to succeed. Remember to smile and make good eye contact, it helps.
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? 1-6 months
Did you attend a job fair? No
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? Updated my application and matched flight time categories on Resume to Pilot Credentials time categories. Made updates about every two weeks to application.
How many internal recs did you have? 1-2
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 4 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? No issues and no questions about this.
How did you prepare for the JKT/COG portion of the interview? RST 15 day program, ground school, read Turbine Pilot’s Flight Manual in full and referenced ANA, and EE during study.
Technical Test Questions Can’t recall, study RST.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? Can’t recall.

How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? Was preparing for about a year for an interview but really focused on interviewing after invite. About 45 days of interview prep.
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? Cage Consulting – helped for panel interview and their resume and application review caught errors that could have kept me from getting invite.
ECIC – helped for panel interview and SBI prep. I did ECIC about 15 days prior to interview date and VERY happy I used their services, especially for SBI prep. I think ECIC is a must for FedEx.
