Which Airline did you interview with? Delta
How many days between invite, interview, and listed availability?
Did you receive a job offer? Yes
If you did not receive the CJO why do you think you weren’t chosen to continue in the process? N/A
What is your experience? Military
Total Flight Time 3,000-4,000
Total Turbine PIC Time >2,000
General Overview of Experience The team there does there best to make you feel relaxed. When you show up you meet all the other applicants and they call you in by threes to turn in your paperwork. I did mine in nice folders professionally bound and put my loose leaf papers in professional folders, but others they received the CJO did not, so take it for what it is worth to you. Is it worth not presenting the best image? I did not think so. After that a welcome from the boss and a short tour. Your schedule is on the table in a plexiglass stand on the tall tables by the coffee. From there you split up unto groups to do testing, break, or HR.
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? 6-12 months
Did you attend a job fair? No
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? Internal Rec…does not get you the interview, but does get it reviewed within 30 days of the internal. Only your application gets you the interview.
How many internal recs did you have? 3-4
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 4 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? Not even addressed
How did you prepare for the JKT/COG portion of the interview? RST…I am confident I would not have assed without it. Even if I could have, the reassurance of having a plan from an organization that understood the process, reduced the stress enough to get in focused study. Use all the resources.
Technical Test Questions No real surprises if you study the concepts not just the questions. None of my questions matched exactly, but all of the topics in the study were enough to cover the materiel. You will come out of the testing feeling like you bombed it. it is a tough test, but nothing we haven’t seen before in our careers.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? Cant remember any that were harder than others, just be carefully and read the questions thoroughly. I used all of the time allotted.
Cog Test Luminosity is ok, but RST with the wrap-up webinar are essential. That being said i still read the directions carefully and treated every practice like it was the test.
Cog Math Questions Simple math, But RTFQ!
HR Questions Most of mine were very personal and would not help anyone else. They want to see your work!!! They want to see how you handle situations, not that you get to the right answer. They did ask about tickets, hooked check rides. Be prepared for any negative information on your application to be discussed. Take responsibility, and show how you turned into a positive. Very nice, did their best to put you at ease, but i never was.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? 6 months
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? ECIC. Worth it for military especially. Teaches a different way of thinking and language. Worth the investment.
Any additional information you would like to add. Cannot stress enough to not have canned answers. ECIC does a good job of prepping you to have several stories you can tailor to any question. You have to direct the conversation, take control. Tell the story you want to tell despite the questions being asked.
Is their anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? gotten RST earlier for more study time.
What can we do to improve our services?
Concepts not covered by RST
