Technical Test Questions I felt is was kind of heavy on aerodynamics and less on engines. I thought the test questions doing the Ground Study on RST were harder than the actual test.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? Nothing stood out.
HR Questions Tell us about yourself, Why the Air Force Academy? What do you know about FedEx hubs and aircraft? What do you know about hub turns? How do you make sure you are fit to fly? Have you ever called in sick? WWYD if you corrected a FO and the FO has now shut down? WWYD if you were the FO and the captain was not very talkative. WWYD if you are the captain from Memphis to Seattle and you were concerned about your fuel on board and fuel truck is an hour away? I asked why I was concerned. Then if we had enough fuel according to dispatch to fly to destination with required extras. Was told everything was fine but concerned. I said I would depart and brief to the FO to watch the fuel burn and if we were trending low on fuel and the destination was at minimums, we could save fuel by deciding to go to the alternate early. Then asked if I would make the same decision if we were going to Anchorage. I stuck to my same answer but not sure if this is where I went wrong. TMAAT you were unsure of a policy and had to look up the answer and when would you ever break a rule?
Cog Test Cog test I felt was easier than the prep. Having a stylus helps with the test instead of a mouse.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? 3 months doing RST and then sped up my training the last month
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? Cage Marshall
Any additional information you would like to add.
Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? no
