General Overview of Experience This was a very comfortable experience. I started preparing for this interview 1 month prior but recommend 1.5 months prior. I stayed at the Drury Inn which offered a shuttle every morning to the HQ got dropped off within 10 minutes of getting on the shuttle. Was pretty nervous going in but everyone at Delta HQ was really friendly and nice. The testing was as advertised by RST. First Cog-instead of an airplane moving around it was just a bar which was more sensitive on both cog games. Mental math problems you get pencil and paper, also you got more time to answer each question for mental math than RST. Second short MMPI-just be yourself. Third the Job Knowledge Test-Was as advertised by RST questions are very similiar but not exactly the same. I recommend knowing concepts of CG, high speed aerodynamics, jet engine mechanics, stall characteristics, and AIM. I then had my interview with 3 Delta employees (1 current Delta Pilot, 1 Retired Delta pilot, and 1 HR) I would suggest a service like Emerald Coast to prepare. I got a panel that was very nice, and asked about training differences between airlines, time I dealt with an emergency, Describe your leadership style, how would you create a team atmosphere when first meeting the entire crew, what would your crew briefing sound like(gave me a few pieces of information about the flight), Do you think your previous airlines were hiring captains or FOs and why, WWYD if your Captain’s head was just not in it because he had just went through a divorce. Was an enjoyable experience, was pretty nervous going in but they were nice. DO NOT USE YOUR PHONE, turn it off and put it into your folder or binder, you will keep it all in the closet the whole day.

Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? OBAP Job Fair August, Felt very good about how the meeting with the Delta Recruiter went. Talked about stuff we liked not necessarily how many hours and experience I had.

How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 4 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? No, I had an incident on my record-NO BIG DEAL, Also had 1 checkride failure-NO BIG DEAL, Also had 2 traffic ticket-NO BIG DEAL. Just told the truth about them and what I learned from them.
How did you prepare for the JKT/COG portion of the interview? RST. The 15 day training course from RST probably takes more like 18 days in my opinion. I was on reserve and did not get called much and still had a tough time finishing some of the lessons each day.
Technical Test Questions Don’t remember any specific ones. Very similar to RST, did not seem like “engineering” level knowledge to me but definitely more in depth than I usually would have gone without RST prep.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? Technical
Cog Test The side to side moving airplane is more sensitive on the actual test. So is the up and down moving airplane. Both these are lines on the actual test not airplane.
Cog Math Questions Same but more time. Only got 3-5 right I’m sure
HR Questions As advertised, they always ask them slight different the the EXACT question than you rehearsed so be able to take your general answer and modify it slightly.

Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? Emerald Coast-Yes it helped a lot.
Any additional information you would like to add. Wear standard suit and tie. Nothing to crazy and colorful. standard tie and socks and suit color
Is their anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? Started studying 1.5 months early not 1 month. Felt very rushed toward the the last few days.
