General Overview of Experience The folks at Delta run a very professional operation. Everyone was very positive and courteous. There were no real surprises. That said, it was still of course quite stressful.
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? <60 days
Did you attend a job fair? No
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? Internal rec
How many internal recs did you have? 1-2
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 8 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? None, I just followed the instructions. I had no questions asked about it.
How did you prepare for the JKT/COG portion of the interview? RST along with EEPP, ANA, PHAK.
Technical Test Questions Like many others, nothing really stands out. A few were very close to questions I had seen, and nearly all were concepts I had studied, which is not to say I knew all the answers. I would say I felt confident on about 50% of the questions, reasonably good about another 25%, and picked between a couple of answers on the other 25%. I have no idea how well I really did.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? See above.
Cog Test As previously discussed by many others, generally slower and easier than the trainer. I was able to practice on the trainer for about 6 weeks before it was removed, so I had a good foundation for the actualy test.
Cog Math Questions I had three or four none of which I had seen before.
HR Questions It really was mostly a conversation about me and about flying. After the intro and some question about my background we went in to WWYDs. I got no TMAAT questions in my HR, I did get some on day 2 during the Psych interview. My WWYDs were a CA who couldn’t get along with FAs, thunderstorm off the nose CA won’t deviate, and a compressor stall at cruise that led to a divert.
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? 2 months.
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? ECIC, and yes it did. That said, I really tried to stayed away from prepared answers and just tried to be myself, or at least the version I wanted to present.
Any additional information you would like to add.
Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process?
