How many days between invite, interview, and listed availability? 3 months until available. One month from invite to interview.
Did you receive a job offer? Yes
If you did not receive the CJO why do you think you weren’t chosen to continue in the process? N/A
What is your experience? Military
Total Flight Time 1,000-2,000

General Overview of Experience Very relaxed and easy going from start to finish. First day the HR folks collect logbooks and paperwork and then you take the computer testing. It’s difficult and exhausting (but kind of fun) and the computer adapts to your ability; you’ll feel like you failed but they tell you that up front, so don’t stress about it.
Second day are the two interviews. First was with two pilots, then a very short break, then one on one with an HR rep. We were told we’d hear back in 2-4 weeks, but it only took about a week before several in my group got the CJO phone call from the chief of pilot recruitment.
How long did you have your application in before you received an invite? 1-6 months
Did you attend a job fair? Yes
Did you do anything special that triggered the interview invitation? Not that I know of.
How many internal recs did you have? 1-2
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 4 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? No.
How did you prepare for the JKT/COG portion of the interview? There’s gouge out there for what types of tests are on the computer testing, but there’s no real way to prepare for it that I can think of. I went in cold, as did everyone else in my group that I’m aware of.

Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? Emerald Coast. Yes, very helpful. American wants you to use the SARR format, which is exactly what Emerald Coast teaches. The seminar and top of phone call were both very helpful.
