General Overview of Experience Very professional operation going on in ATL that seems to be very structured and well established. You really get a feel for what Delta is as a brand throughout the entire experience. They definitely know what they’re doing and do a great job at it.

How many internal recs did you have? 0
How long was it from the time of your invite to the actual interview? 7 weeks
Did you have any issues with logbooks, application or paperwork? No
Technical Test Questions RST concepts covered everything pretty well. A handful of math questions dealing with fuel burn in a hold and descent planning.
What was the hardest technical question or content you experienced during the job knowledge test? There was one question that I didn’t even comprehend what was being asked so I don’t even remember it well, but something along the lines of an electronic fuel control failure. Everything else was pretty straight forward on my version
HR Questions TMAAT you had to make a difficult decision
TMAAT you were in command of an aircraft and your authority was questioned
WWYD flights attendants get to the plane and are disgruntled from a bad experience on their previous flight and aren’t in the mood to deal with more passengers
WWYD coming back to ATL from an international city and you have to divert to an airport without customs. All lavatory waste tanks are full
Cog Test
How long prior to the interview did you prepare for the HR portion of the interview? 4 weeks or so
Which HR Prep service did you use and did it help? None
Any additional information you would like to add. I thought RST was a must for the JKT. No way I would have passed that without it. For HR prep, I just read ride reports and jotted down notes of my own stories that could answer a variety of questions. I found it helpful to go into the HR part with the mindset that I was just telling the next pilot I ran into about some interesting situations I’ve been in. Always keep safety paramount. I think they’re looking for a coherent thought process rather than some specific answer. I also read through “Rules of the Road” and “The Way We Fly” to get an idea of Delta’s core values.
Is there anything you wish you could have done different to prepare you for this process? No
